How To Become A More Compassionate Leader - A Brand New Way!

April is Stress Awareness Month!

And I have been very aware of my own stress levels, as I have been working on some big projects.

Firstly, I want to share my top 3 tips for managing stress:

  • Notice it, without judgement.

  • Name the emotion - there are some great feelings wheels out there - This is the actual cushion cover I have in my office!

  • Identify any practical steps (even tiny ones) that you can take to make the stress feel more manageable.

    Here are some ideas:


  •     Focus on one task at a time

  •     Set a time goal instead of a task goal

  •     Take regular breaks from work - step away from your work space

  •     Speak to someone you trust

  •     Zoom out and gain some perspective over the current stressors

I have been working on my brand new Self-Study Course, called Creating Compassionate Workplaces.
